Plain terms for using Inlet. No fine print games. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we'll explain it.
Your content is yours
You own everything you write, say, and upload in Inlet. We don't claim ownership of it. We store and process it only to run the product for you — to build your day summaries, keep your throughline current, and shape your prompts. We don't sell your content, and we don't share it with other users except through the narrow, deliberate sharing you choose (see our Privacy page).
What we ask of you
- Be yourself, and be decent. Inlet is for your own use and for supporting the people in your Connected Group. Don't use it to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
- Don't break in. No attempts to access other people's accounts, entries, or data, and no attacks on the service.
- Keep your login secure. Your entries sit behind your secure login. If you let someone else into it, you've shared access.
- One person per account. Don't impersonate someone else or hand your account to someone it doesn't belong to.
Free and paid
Starting is free — the feed, capture, and your day summaries. Some depth is paid: longer voice recordings, more photos per day, and the full throughline view. A paid plan can cover a whole Connected Group, so the people you invite share the plan. Prices and what each tier includes may change as the product grows; if we change what a paid plan costs or covers, we'll tell you before it affects you.
The product will change
Inlet is early and moving fast. Features will be added, changed, and sometimes removed. We'll do our best to make changes that respect the work you've put in and never treat your existing content carelessly.
Availability
We work hard to keep Inlet running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will be available every second or that nothing will ever go wrong. Keep your own copy of anything you truly can't afford to lose.
Ending things
You can stop using Inlet anytime and ask us to delete your data. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms — for example, one used to attack the service or harm other people.
Liability, in plain words
Inlet is provided as-is. We're building it with care, but we can't be liable for indirect or unexpected losses that come from using it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.
